Unfortunately Doggerland Craft Cider won’t bring their pigs Klok (Clock / Core) and Huus (House) who eat all leftovers in the harvest time, to the Cider Festival this Saturday. But they will bring their ciders in four varieties: wild yeasted (Wildebras), hopped (Ad Hop), with ginger (Gembergloed) and honey (Honinghout). This cidermaker’s team is depending totally on what local people in the North of the Netherlands donate. They also pick apples from ‘forgotten’ orchards, in their battle against food waste. A portion of the apples goes back in cider to the donors. And the rest to Klok and Huus, probably the most happy pigs of the country.
